Tongji University is located in the northeast of Shanghai. The university has four existing campuses covering a total area of 141.8 hectares. The north campus is situated on Siping Road, the west campus on Zhennan Road, the east campus on Wudong Road, and the north campus is on Gonghe Xin Road. The Jiading campus, a new campus under construction has an area of 100 hectares and is located inside Shanghai International Automotive City in Jiading, a suburban district of Shanghai.
Housing:
The International Students Service Center is located by San Hao-Wu Pond on the main campus. It includes 2 hotel buildings and a food and beverage department. Building 1 has 231 regular rooms and 22 suites. Building 2 has 71 regular rooms and 12 suites. They all have telephones, bathrooms, showers, air-conditioning, and public kitchens. They also have some classrooms, and business services such as copying, fax and e-mail connections. In addition, air-ticket and train ticket booking are offered. Living in the International Building is most convenient for students. Each unit has 2 beds, a bathroom, heating/ac, and a telephone.
Tongji U. will take it for granted that if a student doesn't submit a housing application, the student is responsible for locating off-campus housing.

Tongji University includes 13 colleges. Tongji University offers over 50 undergraduate programs, 103 masters degrees, 39 doctoral programs, and nine post-doctoral research stations. It enrolls over 41,000 students, including 5,000 postdoctoral students. There are 570 full professors, 1340 associate professors, and 3200 staff members. There are 30 cross-disciplinary research centers associated with the university, as well 3 hospitals. It has established cooperative agreements with over 70 universities and businesses. Academic Program:
The School of Economics and Management consists of five departments offering eight bachelor
degree programs, 12 master degree programs, two doctoral programs, and one post-doctoral
research center. There are 33 full professors, 60 associate professors, 2,400 undergraduate
students, 800 master degree students and doctoral candidates. See attached UG course equivalency chart (pdf format) available for undergraduate students who do not speak Chinese.
Academic Credit:
Undergraduate students will earn 15 credit hours for the semester. Credit will transfer to UTSA, but must first get approval with the COB department/advisor before leaving for the exchange. The Office of International Business Programs will assist students with that process.

All students can apply for financial aid because they will pay tuition and fees at UTSA.

Download the application documents at the top of the
webpage in the Program Profile
chart. A completed Tongji application consists of: checklist, procedures for application
and registration, application form, letter of guarantee, physical exam record,
application for a dorm room, pre-registration for courses, A letter of interest,
a resume, a letter of recommendation from the Office of International Business
Programs, an original transcript, a copy of your passport.
Along with the Tongji application, you must complete the Office of International
programs Study Abroad application. You can download it
from: http://www.utsa.edu/intprograms/studyabroad.cfm.

Give the completed forms to the Office of International Business Programs.
We'll forward the documents to the UTSA Office of International
Programs and mail the documents to Tongji University.

Once you've been accepted, notify your financial aid officer to review
your financial aid packet. If you would like, complete a COB Study Abroad
application http://programs.business.utsa.edu/international/ and an Office of International Programs Study Abroad Scholarship
Application http://www.utsa.edu/intprograms/SAscholfinaid.cfm.

All UTSA students accepted into Study Abroad programs are required to register with the UTSA Office of International Programs (MB 1.210). A $150 Registration Fee will be assessed to each outgoing student, and must be paid prior to departure. Finally, all students must attend a pre-departure orientation offered by the Office of International Programs prior to participation.
