| Business Studies for the Americas - International Business Programs | ||
The Business Studies for the Americas Program (BSA) gives strategic focus to the UTSA College of Business for its Latin American activities. BSA programs develop the professional and academic skills of students and executives and enhance faculty research. The program includes academic coursework, internship opportunities, immersion programs and executive and professional development opportunities. The BSA program most recently received a $140,000 U.S. Department of Education Business in International Education grant in support of this programming. The UTSA College of Business is the international secretariat for BALAS, the Business Association for Latin American Studies. This is an international association of scholars who conduct research on management and commerce in Latin America. |
Faculty Member Named BALAS Executive Secretary
Dr. Victoria Jones, director of the Business Studies for the Americas Program in the College of Business, has been named the executive secretary for the Business Association of Latin American Studies (BALAS). As part of this appointment, UTSA will now become the executive headquarters of BALAS. |
