Bilingual Business Certificate

The College of Business is launching a new Bilingual Business Certificate program in Spanish for business students.

The certificate is designed to prepare business students with the language and cultural skills necessary for successful international business careers. The certificate values and professionalizes the Spanish-language skills many students acquired speaking Spanish in their homes. By assuring professional business vocabulary and fluency, these students can turn their language skills into a highly-valued asset in the job market.

The certificate requires 15 credit hours including at least two business subject courses taught in the language, one comparative international business course and one international experience in the target region (immersion study, study abroad, or internship).

Currently Spanish language business courses have been offered in accounting and marketing. Additional courses will be offered in Business Law and Business Statistics.

The first certificates will be awarded in Spring 2008.
