Business Studies for the Americas - International Business ProgramsBorder Business CourseThis spring the Business Studies for the Americas program is offering a new graduate course on "Strategies for the Border Corridor" in partnership with UT-Pan American and EGADE in Monterrey, Mexico. The course prepares students to manage business on both sides of the U.S. and Mexico border. The three partner schools bring their students together for intensive study, visits to companies in their region and final group presentations. Students get international travel experiences in a three weekend course format. Students travel on Thursday, visit companies on Friday, attend classes with local faculty on Saturday and present group project work on Sunday. As part of the class, students will visit two countries, three distinct economic regions and nine corporations. They will spend nine days in class and project work with international peers. The launch of this program is supported by a U.S. Department of Education Business in International Education grant. |
