Business Studies for the Americas - International Business ProgramsInternational Seminar SeriesAlthough relatively few students can study abroad, all can attend classes on campus. The International Seminar Series is an innovative visiting faculty program. Students enroll in a one credit hour weekend course taught by an international faculty member on various topics. Visiting faculty teach in a concentrated format from noon to 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for 15 contact hours. Students submit assignments online and complete applied projects two weeks after the weekend classes. Participating students earn one credit hour for each international seminar. In addition to academic seminars, the visiting faculty members also present lectures to UTSA faculty, students and the external business community. The International Breakfast Series is hosted in conjunction with the Free Trade Alliance. The launch of this program is supported by a U.S. Department of Education Business in International Education grant. |
