University Overview:
The North American Summer School of Advanced Management Exchange Program (NASSAM) began in summer 1996. NASSAM was the first international graduate student exchange program of its kind at UTSA. The program is jointly co-sponsored by the Colleges of Business at the University of Texas at San Antonio; Instituto Technologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey in Mexico City, Mexico; and the University of Calgary in Alberta, Canada. The objective of the program is to expand the academic, business, cultural, and educational horizons of the participants from all three universities by providing an intensive three-week international academic experience in Mexico, Canada and the United States. Students will participate in intercultural group projects designed to enhance understanding of global entrepreneurship. The knowledge gained by working with individuals from other cultures and learning the process by which business is done in other countries is a life-long learning experience no textbook can duplicate.
Academic Program:
This is project-based learning. Students work in multi-national teams to create a product and market the product. Daniel Tablada will lead the courses for the UTSA students. For more information, please contact Daniel Tablada at daniel.tablada@utsa.edu
