Management of Technology Program

Faculty Member Receives Tenure

Kevin Grant has been promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Department of Information Systems and Technology Management.

Recently he has had two papers published in academic journals. The first article was co-authored with Michael Baumann, assistant professor of psychology, in the December 2005 issue of the Engineering Management Journal. "Launching the Projects in Space Learning Program" described an active learning experience tool designed to impart core project management skills.

He also co-authored a publication with J.S. Pennypacker in the February 2006 issue of IEEE Transactions. The article, "Project Management Maturity: An Assessment of Project Management Capabilities Among and Between Selected Industries," provides a snapshot of the current level of project management maturity among industries based on 42 detailed components of maturity. The abstract was based on a survey of 126 organizations and established a baseline to support organizational assessments of project management maturity.
