Dr. James Remkus received the 2007 Tracey-Bodensteiner Award for contributions to the Management of Technology Program.

The Management of Technology program hosted their annual recognition dinner this spring. The awards program recognizes alumni and current graduates of the Management of Technology program. During the event, Dr. James Remkus was presented with the 2007 Tracey-Bodensteiner Award.

"James has had a lasting impact on our program," said William Flannery, director and associate professor of management of technology. "He was an exceptional student in our program, and he was instrumental in expanding the biomedical component of our program."

Remkus has developed and taught a course on the biomedical industry as part of the program curriculum.  He has helped foster relationships with companies and individuals in the biomedical industry as well as establishing academic relationships with the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

The Tracey-Bodensteiner award recognizes community members who have made significant contributions to the Management of Technology program.  It was established in honor of James Tracey, former dean of the UTSA College of Sciences and Engineering, and Wayne Bodensteiner, former director of the Division of Management and Marketing.
